Dusk and Clouds
Tonight I watched dusk creep over a green field. Clouds, swollen and dark reached for earth with knobby limbs. The ends pointed and curled like Aladdin's slipper and touched ground from a faraway place. Through slits in the fabric sky an orange sunset burned. Knifed heavens seeped the blood of a dying sun and it dripped gold through slivers and cracks in the curtained grey clouds.
I wonder what it would be like to be a cloud? Windswept, billowy and with rain in my womb...?
oh avoir les yeux de nuages!
